Oxford Labour is one of the most active local Labour parties in the country. We cover the constituencies of Oxford East and Oxford West & Abingdon. In the East, Andrew Smith is the longstanding MP (since 1987) and was successfully re-elected in 2015 with a majority of over 15,000. The MEP for the South East, Anneliese Dodds, is a former Co-Chair of Oxford Labour and lives in the city.

We hold regular meetings with political discussion, guest speakers, city and county councillors, and Andrew. We host social events, including dinners and receptions, with Gordon Brown, David Miliband, Ed Balls and Alastair Campbell as recent visitors. We also have active youth, student and women's groups.

Campaigning is at the heart of everything we do. We work for social justice at home and abroad, good quality public services, and local priorities such as decent housing, a sustainable environment, improved provision for cycling, and better facilities for young and old.
