The premiere of professional readings of plays by Oxford Labour-Party members will be held on

Saturday 14 May 2016

from 3.30 p.m.

in the Long Room of Oxford Town Hall

The play is

DOPPELGANGER

(author and poet)

In the play we are in the trenches and hospital of the First World War.

British poet Wilfred Owen (killed a few days before armistice)

and the German Poet, Gerrit Engelke , are prominent characters.

The play is accordingly insightful about Europe, past and present, and about the implications of war.

  • It will be presented and directed by Ian Flintoff, formerly of the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company (also former Labour Councillor and Parliamentary candidate)
