    • Mortimer Hall in Oxford, United Kingdom

The branch will be electing its officers and GC delegates in this meeting. Branch officers include roles such as Secretary, Treasurer, Chair, and many more.

In addition to the AMM (All Member Meeting), the Oxford & District LP has a General Committee (GC) which is composed of delegates who are chosen by Oxford & District Labour Party branches and by trade unions, the Co-op party and other affiliated organisations. These are the only members who can vote on certain aspects of party business, including the election of
party officers and conference delegates, nominations to the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the
National Policy Forum (NPF), constitutional changes and financial matters.

    Local Party Structure:

Branch Labour Party (BLP): Your local party. Branches may organise their own activities, and they can choose their council candidates, elect delegates to the General Committee, and send motions for discussion at All-Member Meetings.

Constituency Labour Party (CLP): Based on the parliamentary constituency. The Oxford & District Labour Party includes members in the Oxford East and Oxford West & Abingdon constituencies, operating as a single party for most purposes. The CLP can send delegates to annual and regional conferences, select parliamentary candidate, and submit views to the national party, local councillors, and other bodies.
