Oxford Labour is one of the most active local Labour parties in the country and succeeded, against the trend, in re-electing Andrew Smith as MP for Oxford East in 2010.

We hold regular meetings with political discussion, guest speakers, city and county councillors, and Andrew. We host social events, including dinners and receptions, with Rachel Reeves, Chuka Umunna and David Blunkett as recent visitors. We also have active youth, student and women’s groups.

Campaigning is at the heart of everything we do. We work for social justice at home and abroad, good quality public services, and local priorities such as decent housing, a sustainable environment, improved provision for cycling, and better facilities for young and old.
