Richard Stevens was first elected as an Oxfordshire County Councillor in 2009. Richard works as a local solicitor and trained in London and Amsterdam. Richard is also a member of the Co-operative Party, the Society of Labour Lawyers and the Down's syndrome Association.

Richard’s interests include economic issues, education and social care. Richard has a special Interest in learning disabilities and is a primary school governor. Richard’s hobbies include cycling, kayaking and playing piano.
