Tom works for a mental health charity on Manzil Way that supports people to take control of their recovery and develop skills, and is a Governor at East Oxford Primary School. Previously Tom led Oxfam's UK campaigns to protect refugees forced to flee, end tax dodging and stop British-made bombs violating humanitarian law and killing civilians in Yemen. He is an active local councillor fixing your problems, campaigning to bring back Cowley Road Post Office and cleaning up the dirty air on our polluted streets. He has been central to bringing back council housing to St Clement's and -as the council's cabinet member for community safety- tackling drug dealing by securing two additional police officers and supporting recovery and treatment. He is also actively campaigning against Islamophobia and hate crime, and stopping unwanted graffiti and noisy households. Tom has taken a lead in campaigning to end slavery, uphold human rights, and fighting to stay in the EU.
