In memory of former Labour MP for Batley and Spen Jo Cox, a memorial fund has been set up in order to raise money to be spent on causes closest to her heart, as chosen by her family.

Any money donated will be given to:

• HOPE not hate, a charity seeking to end the politics of extremism and hatred in the United Kingdom;
• The Royal Voluntary Service, a charity to support volunteers combatting loneliness in her constituency;
• The White Helmets, a group of search and rescue workers in the warzones of Syria.

Jo’s husband Brendan said of her, “Jo believed in a better world and she fought for it every day of her life with an energy, and a zest for life that would exhaust most people. She would have wanted two things above all else to happen now; one, that our precious children are bathed in love and two, that we all unite to fight against the hatred that killed her.”

Members are welcome to donate to this wonderful cause. You can find the fund and details of how to contribute here.
