Oxford Labour is one of the most active local Labour parties in the country.
We cover the constituencies of Oxford East and Oxford West & Abingdon. In the East, Anneliese Dodds has been our Labour & Co-op MP since 2017. Anneliese was re-elected with another landslide majority in July 2024. She now serves as the Minister for International Development and Women & Equalities in the Labour Government.
We hold regular social events and meetings with political discussion, guest speakers, city and county councillors, and Anneliese. There are lots of other ways to get involved, whether it’s leafleting, canvassing, or even standing for elected office.
Campaigning is at the heart of everything we do. We work for social justice at home and abroad, strong public services, and local priorities such as fighting the housing crisis, tackling the climate emergency, and standing up for the most vulnerable members of our community. Some of our achievements include the country’s first whole-city licensing scheme to protect private renters, Britain’s biggest EV charging station, and the Oxford Living Wage.
