Iffley area residents have overwhelmingly backed proposals for a new Controlled Parking Zone in a survey conducted by local County Councillor Brad Baines.

68% of respondents voiced their support for the introduction of a new residents’ parking scheme in Iffley. Local residents have been expressing concern about the acute parking pressures on Cavell Road, Iffley Turn and the Augustine Way estate from non-resident and commuter parking. Problem parking is also now extending to other roads.

“I am extremely grateful to all those residents who completed my parking survey. The responses clearly show that residents believe there is a parking problem in Iffley” said Cllr Brad Baines. “I will be pressing the County Council to deliver the promised formal consultation on a new scheme urgently.”
