Spokesperson for Transport Management and Development Strategy, Cllr Duncan Enright said:

“The Labour & Co-operative Group is gravely concerned that Cllr Dan Levy has objected to the stadium proposals, while he has the decision making role on the lease from the County Council. It is not sustainable for him to remain as Cabinet Member for Finance in sole control of the decisions around the lease when he has fettered his judgement in this way. It is time for the council to have an emergency meeting. There needs to be a motion of censure of Cllr Levy’s conduct.”

Labour & Co-operative Group Leader Cllr Brighouse says:

“Cllr Levy is responsible for confidential negotiations between the County Council and Oxford United Football Club. This shows awful judgement. He must resign.”
