Brad Baines
County Councillor for Isis

Brad has served as the County Councillor for Isis since May 2021 and Deputy Leader of the County Labour & Co-operative Group since May 2023.
He is rooted in the communities of South and East Oxford and is a regular presence on local doorsteps talking to local residents about the issues that matter to them. He currently serves as a Trustee of Donnington Doorstep and is a former Chair of Governors at New Hinksey CE Primary School and Governor at Grandpont Nursery School & Childcare.
Brad serves as the Labour & Co-operative Group’s Spokesperson for Finance and Economic Development. In this role he has been spearheading Labour’s calls for a focus on community wealth building, strengthening the role of co-operative and community enterprise, as well as delivering better value for money for service users and taxpayers.
He is a keen commuter cyclist and an enthusiastic supporter of active travel and green transportation. He is passionate about early years, education and tackling the climate crisis.
Brad has a background in community, student and charity campaigns and currently works in public affairs.
