Charlotte Vinnicombe for Wolvercote & Cutteslowe
County Council Candidate on Thursday 1 May 2025

I’ve lived in neighbouring Old Marston for over 16 years and Oxford for nearly 30 – I love our vibrant, international city. I work at the University of Oxford and actively volunteer in my community. I’ve worked hands-on with Oxford Conservation Volunteers and co-organised a climate emergency workshop in Marston, helping residents make practical, affordable changes.
Labour’s environmental policies matter deeply to me, and Oxford’s transport crisis is at the heart of them. We need cleaner air, less congestion, better buses, safer cycling routes, and more opportunities for active travel—changes the Council must deliver with the community, not against it.
If elected, I’ll be a strong, effective voice for Wolvercote and Cutteslowe. As a long-standing Old Marston Parish Councillor and founding chair of our Residents’ Association, I’ve stood up for local people—speaking at City Council Planning Committees and pressing County Hall on transport issues.
Trust in Oxfordshire County Council is at rock bottom. But in 2024, when I stood in Cutteslowe & Sunnymead, Labour’s vote share grew. On 1st May, vote Labour for a Council that will work hand-in-hand with our Labour government to deliver real change for local people.
